Mayor and City Council

The City of Rhinelander is governed by an elected part-time mayor (chair) and eight member elected city council.
Council meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6pm except that when the day for holding any regular meeting shall be a legal holiday or if extenuating circumstances prevent the regular meeting being held on that date or time, the regular meeting shall be held at the same time and place on the following day.

Meetings are held at Rhinelander City Hall, 135 S Stevens St Rhinelander WI, in the second floor Common Council Chambers.  
Meetings are handicap accessible using the elevator on the South end of the building.

Anyone is welcome to make public comment at the beginning of council meetings.  Arrive prior to 6pm and sign up for public comment.  You will be called upon during the public comment portion of the meeting.  No matter presented by a citizen shall be acted on at the meeting, except in emergencies affecting public health, safety or welfare.
