Public Hearing for Messer, Rose, Lake Shore, Evergreen, Pearl, Freemont Sts and Hodag Park Dr Monday July 22

The City of Rhinelander intends to file an application for federal financial assistance with the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service. The project includes improvements to the water distribution system and wastewater collection system associated with reconstruction of Messer Street, Rose Street, Lake Shore Drive, Evergreen Court, Pearl Street, Freemont Street, and Hodag Park Drive. Any comments regarding this application should be submitted to the City of Rhinelander. A public hearing about the project will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday the 22nd day of July 2024 at the Rhinelander City Hall, 135 S Stevens St., Rhinelander, WI, in the second floor Common Council Chambers.
Requirements for publication of Notice of Intent to Apply:
RUS 1780 instruction requires that within 60 days of filing an application with the Agency, the applicant must publish a notice of intent to apply for a RUS loan or grant. The notice of intent must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the proposed area to be served. The notice should be published in the paper with other public notices and not in a classified section of the newspaper. The City of Rhinelander intends to publish the above notification within 60 days of the application date.
